How This Course Fits into the Courage Journey

You may already know and love my Courage Deck, a powerful set of 60 bite-sized teachings designed to spark daily bravery. Or maybe you’ve explored Courage is Built Here, the book where I expand 53 of those teachings into deeper reflections layered with self-inquiry questions and more of my full curriculum.

The Courage is Built Here™ online course takes it even further.

Think of it as an extended keynote meets personal retreat with nearly three hours of guided content that brings my most requested teachings to life through video, story, and practical application.

It’s the bridge between inspiration and transformation.

Whether:

  • This is your first glimpse of the courage work,
  • You want to deepen what you learned from the deck or the book,
  • You’re part of an organization looking to infuse courage into your culture,
  • You’ve never had the chance to attend a live event with me, or
  • You’ve been through the full training and want a way to keep the work top of mind...

This course was made for you.

It’s the most accessible way to experience my full-life, heart-centered approach to building courage at home and at work, and it’s something you can return to again and again. Especially when the days get hard, the bandwidth is low, or the budget doesn’t allow for in-person work, this course keeps the tools, language, and practices within reach.

This is courage work you can grow with.

What You Will Learn

This isn’t a course about fixing yourself. It’s about coming home to who you already are and choosing to live and lead from that place with more intention, clarity, and courage.

In this self-paced journey, I guide you through the five pathways of my Courage is Built Here™ curriculum. Whether this is your first introduction to my work or you’ve read the book, used my Courage Deck, or been through a full training, this is your space to reset and begin again.

Through practical tools, whole-hearted stories, and short, accessible teachings, you’ll learn how to:

  • Feel your feelings without becoming them and build the emotional awareness to respond, not react
  • Define and live from your core values, especially in the messy middle of life and leadership
  • Show up and follow through for your wellbeing
  • Stay curious in tough conversations, rather than falling into blame, assumptions, or defensiveness
  • Reclaim your voice, rewrite old stories, and practice this work in your actual, everyday life at home and at work

This is courage you can come back to again and again.

Because courage isn’t one big leap it’s built in the small, daily choices.

Your instructor

A Licensed Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience in mental health, personal growth, and professional development, Justine Froelker creates the space where people can remember how deeply loved they are and learn how to live and lead from that love. For eleven years, she was certified in Dr. Brené Brown’s research on vulnerability, courage, and empathy. Today, she teaches her own curriculum, Courage is Built Here™, a transformative program that equips individuals and teams to live and lead with self-awareness, authenticity, and resilience to build courage-centered leaders and cultures. Rooted in her faith in Jesus, Justine lives and works from her true identity, the name God calls her: Beloved Mother of Restoration. Her work is an outpouring of that calling: to help people shed shame, remember who they are, and rise into lives of meaning, connection, and wholeness. An accomplished author of twelve books, including five Amazon bestsellers, Justine writes across genres, from children’s literature to explorations of leadership, faith, infertility, grief, and healing. She has delivered two TEDx Talks, The Permission of the And and The Donut Effect, which highlight her unique perspective on navigating life’s complexities with love, humor, and grace. Justine is a sought-after speaker who travels nationally and presents virtually to global audiences, delivering keynotes, retreats, and trainings on courageous leadership, emotional resilience, burnout recovery, and creating cultures of belonging. Justine lives in St. Louis with her husband Chad and their two dogs, Winston and Gertie. You’ll often find her volunteering at Wild Bird Rehabilitation supporting the medical team and feeding hundreds of tiny, hungry babies during baby bird season. And during butterfly season, her home comes alive with the flutter of wings as she raises hundreds of monarch and swallowtail butterflies.
